Inhibition of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Replication in Cell Culture by Small Interfering RNA (siRNA)

The discovery of siRNA, also known as short interfering RNA or silencing RNA, a class of 20-25 nucleotide-long RNA molecules that play a variety of roles in biology, has allowed for study of the RNA interference pathway (RNAi) wherein the siRNA interferes with the expression of a specific gene.
