Summary:Different methods have been used suscessfully for the removal of organic matter in wastewaters. Conventional treatments are frequently used in Cuba. However, the Oxidation Channel, constitutes a very simple aerobic treatment and it has been never used in Cuba. This paper presents an evaluation of the behaviour of this biological reactor in Cuban climatic conditions. Conventional parameters for wastewaters were determined and the obtaining results were promising.
