Summary:	Most of the products, at some point in the transport and logistics processes are carried on pallets. To meet the requirements of heterogeneous goods in the supply chain, pallet underwent certain modifications. The new pallet found application due to its specific characteristics (in terms of shape and dimensions (design), the material from which it is made, positive impact on the environment, ease the recycling process, ease of manipulation within the transport-manipulative processes and economy). The aim is to present the mentioned characteristics of roll containers for which this type of pallet has been used in large distribution chains-supermarkets.
