Summary:Highlights • Cocooning is a vaccination strategy involving vaccination of parents to indirectly protect infants against disease who are too young to be vaccinated themselves. • We report on vaccine uptake following a government-funded cocooning program for pertussis in Victoria, Australia. • Vaccine uptake was high: 80% of mothers and 70% of fathers reporting having received the vaccine in relation to the birth of their child.
