Summary:	This vignette centers on three teachers using global literature to find ways to facilitate intercultural understanding that might help students consider the benefits of thinking and acting globally. The guiding theory on which they based their work around was cosmopolitanism, which posits that we can become citizens of the world by engaging with people from other cultures to develop a deeper understanding of the world. Each teacher encouraged students to empathize with others, to engage in critical analysis of current immigration practices, and to learn about other people’s homelands and customs.
