Summary:This study details the design and implementation of a Data Governance course using the ADDIE model and the Brightspace platform. The course aimed to develop data management competencies in systems engineering students through a blend of face-to-face and virtual scenarios and a participatory team-based methodology.Various instructional resources such as videos, readings, images, hypertext, and gamification tools catered to different learning styles, enriching the educational experience.International lectures and collaborative activities, like conceptual map creation, provided a global and practical perspective essential for understanding data governance.Continuous assessment, guided by Quality MattersTM Rubric Standards, ensured learning quality and facilitated course improvements. The Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia's Competency Evaluation System aligned evaluation activities with national and international standards.The Data Governance course successfully met its objectives, equipping students with the necessary tools and knowledge to address data management challenges in organizations. The course's structured instructional design and diverse resources were key to its success, underscoring the importance of adapting education to current needs in systems engineering.
