Summary: | The small signal models of power systems with power-electronic controllers are periodic and piecewise linear in nature and stability analysis of such systems involves computing state transition matrices. In this paper, the effect of perturbation of switching time instants of power-electronic switches on the state transition matrices is examined. A set of necessary and sufficient conditions under which a perturbation to a switching instant does not effect the state transition matrix are given and substantiated by a simple proof. |
