Description
Summary:The current research studies the recycled aluminium Solar Cane Air Heater (SCAH) with rectangular fins experimentally to enhance the collector efficiency and heat transfer coefficient. The experiments were performed for air flow rates of 0.015 kg/s, 0.022 kg/s and 0.044 kg/s. Better heat transfer improvement between air and aluminium cane have been achieved for 0.022 kg/s. The heat transfer coefficient and efficiency is enhanced upto 4% and 5% respectively for 0.022 kg/s air flow rate because of using fins. The maximum efficiency of collector reaches 69.47% for with fins and 65.98% for without fins when air flow rate is 0.022 kg/s.
