Description
Summary:Spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) based on the principle of low-coherence light interference has excellent characteristics including non-radiation, non-invasiveness and ultra-high resolution, and has played an important role in the physiological state of various biological tissues research and medical diagnosis. However, SD-OCT is subject to the speckle noise, which worsens the visual quality of SD-OCT images and restraints its clinical utility. In this paper, a hybrid median filter is utilized for removing speckle noise of SD-OCT. A qualitative and quantitative comparison on the performance of hybrid median filter with some classical speckle noise reduction methods has been performed. The experimental results give evidence of the hybrid median filter can reduce the speckle noise effectively.
