Summary:Parkinsonism secondary to hypoparathyroidism is well described. The association of hyperparathyroidism with parkinsonism is rare. We describe here a case of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) associated with hyperparathyroidism secondary to a parathyroid adenoma who improved significantly with surgical excision of the parathyroid adenoma.
