Description
Summary:This paper is a review of some recent findings in physiopathology of work related upper limb disorders and hand-arm-vibration-syndrome (HAVS). In a first section the data relative to work related upper limb musculoskeletal disorders are collected in three groups referring respectively to the muscle, to the tendon and to the peripheral nerve. Furthermore the physiopathological data are analyzed with respect to the Strain Index proposed by Moore and Garg. In a second section the physiopathological mechanisms of HAVS are summarized.
