SAR Evaluation for an Inductive Wireless Low Power Charger by a Worst-Case Approach
This paper presents Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) calculations by electromagnetic simulations (EM). A worst-case analysis is proposed to evaluate the compliance of Wireless Power Chargers (WPC) installed within a vehicle with the existing recommendations of exposure levels to Electro Magnetic Field...

Summary: | This paper presents Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) calculations by electromagnetic simulations (EM). A worst-case analysis is proposed to evaluate the compliance of Wireless Power Chargers (WPC) installed within a vehicle with the existing recommendations of exposure levels to Electro Magnetic Fields (EMF). This analysis is intended for low power wireless chargers (up to 15 W) operating at 127 kHz but the method could be extended to any kind of wireless power chargers. In addition, this method could be retained for assessing RF exposure compliance during the radio homologation process. |
